Key – Once the group’s lock-picker, Key has taken over Memphis’s position as leader. She’s intellegent and well-meaning, but timid. Her self-confidence, which wasn’t very strong to begin with, has been deeply shaken since her strange encounter with the fish-like monster. With the group’s wellbeing resting on her shoulders, Key is understandably nervous.

Memphis – Memphis led the group before Key and placed her in charge after he left. Though he is fondly remembered as one of the group’s best leaders, this final decision is questionable.
First Appearance: Prologue Page 8: Memphis

Cairo – Memphis’s younger brother, Cairo assumed he’d be leader after Memphis. He has natural charisma, but his instincts are a little weak.

Bo – Father of Fall’s baby, Bo is fiercely protective. He’s not the brightest member of the group, but he has a good memory for stories.

Cleo – Practical and calm, her aloof demeanor makes Cleo the group’s makeshift medical technician. She’s also Cairo’s girl.
First Appearance: Prologue Page 9: Then What Happened

Reader – As his name suggests, Reader is the only literate member of the group. It’s not a very pratical survival skill, so Reader is regarded at best as a novelty and at worst, a liability. Interestingly, Reader still has living grandparents.

Bright – His extremely light skin and fragile constitution make Bright somewhat of an outsider. He’s very clever; he has to be to have survived this long.
